How to order your own blood test online
You pay online, give a sample at a lab (or book a home visit), and see your results online. Most states allow this, but New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Hawaii require a clinician's order, and Maryland allows it with limits.

- 1. Pay online. Pick a test on a lab store's website and pay for it there.
- 2. Give a sample. Visit a partner lab location, or book a home visit where offered.
- 3. See your results online. Results are posted to your account on the lab store's site. Personalabs, for example, says results take 24-48 hours.
